Operation Golden Age

Operation Golden Age was a conspiracy led by Sir Charles Grover and Professor Whitaker, and including General Finch and Captain Mike Yates.

Believing that Earth was becoming too polluted and that humanity was too corrupt to change, they developed an elaborate plan to restart civilisation. After evacuating London by bringing dinosaurs to modern times, they would reverse time over the planet to a point in its history before mankind had evolved, then colonise it with a select group of people who believed that they were on a spacecraft heading for New Earth.

The plan was exposed and defeated by the Doctor and UNIT. Grover and Whitaker transported themselves to an unknown point in the past, Finch was court-martialed, and Yates was given sick leave and the chance to quietly resign. (DW: Invasion of the Dinosaurs)
