Oxley Woods was a forest near Epping, Essex.

A group of Nestene meteorites landed there as a prelude to their invasion. Six months later, a second group landed there, along with the Doctor, who collapsed from his recent regeneration and was taken to Ashbridge Cottage Hospital. UNIT soon cordoned off the area, but not before Sam Seeley managed to steal one of the meteorites, hoping to profit from it. (DW: Spearhead from Space)
