Proxima system - "system" should not be capitalised here.

Talk about it here.

Proxima System

The Proxima system was the star system closest to the Sol system.

The primary star of the Proxima system was Proxima Centauri. The second planet from the sun was Proxima 2, (PROSE: The Face-Eater) the third, Luparis, (AUDIO: Hexagora) and Proxima IV the fourth. (PROSE: Transit) One of the planets in the system was Proxima Major. (AUDIO: The Dalek Contract) Another was Paparia. (AUDIO: Wraith World)

The system also contained a planet called New Old Detroit, which housed a city of the same name. The system also contained an asteroid upon which Stormlight House was situated. (COMIC: Mortal Beloved/The Deep Hereafter)

There was a dimensional fissure to another universe in the system called the Quantum Gateway. It was two atoms across. (AUDIO: The Final Phase)

History[]

The Paparians of Paparia became extinct long before 2010. (AUDIO: Wraith World)

The Fifth Doctor visited Luparis in 1983. (AUDIO: Hexagora)

Susie Fontana Brooke explored the system using the first human lightspeed ship. (TV: The Waters of Mars) Humanity settled its first colony on Proxima 2 in 2128. It took them 8 years to get the planet up and running as a proper colony. (PROSE: The Face-Eater)

There was a stand-up comedian who once joked that "Yen, God and Hamburgers" were the three pillars of Earth reparation. It was said he came from the "Proxima circuit", implying that there was a comedy circuit in this system. (PROSE: Ten Little Aliens)

The Tenth Doctor visited this system when it was populated twice with companion Majenta Pryce. (COMIC: Mortal Beloved/The Deep Hereafter)

The Conglomerate found and widened the dimensional fissure, calling it the Quantum Gateway. Their experiments caused Proxima Major to be shifted out of orbit. After the Gateway was destroyed, Proxima Major slowly shifted back into its original orbit. (AUDIO: The Final Phase)
