Ramo was a priest of Amdo in Atlantis. He hated Professor Zaroff and helped the Second Doctor oppose his plans.
The Doctor showed Ramo how Zaroff's plan to raise Atlantis would destroy the Earth. Ramo accompanied the Doctor to see Thous, the king of Atlantis. They tried to convince Thous that Zaroff was mad, but Thous turned them over to Zaroff. Zaroff ordered them sacrificed to the goddess Amdo, but the Doctor's companions rescued them. Ramo took part in the plan to kidnap Zaroff. He and Polly were fooled by Zaroff's fake heart attack.
Zaroff killed Ramo with a spear, but Ramo managed to warn the Doctor that Zaroff had taken Polly. (TV: The Underwater Menace)
