Reece Goddard was a cybernetic hybrid from an alternate timeline.
Goddard was born on Earth in 1927. Days later, the Cybermen released a technorganic virus that changed all creatures on the planet to cybernetic hybrids. All animals and most of the human race were killed in the transformation. The survivors were all like Goddard.
Years later, rebels trying to prevent this stole a Chronosphere and sent Goddard to the nexus point in 3286 on Chronos where history was changed. They also gave him a virus reverse-engineered to destroy the Cybermen. The Sixth Doctor warned him that if the Cybermen caught him, they could reverse-engineer the virus to create the one that made him a hybrid, thus causing a paradox loop.
Goddard helped the Doctor and Evelyn Smythe escape from the alternate timeline Cyber Controller. He beat it to death and as a chronal wave from the time portal on Chronos flooded Cyber Control, he removed the Cyber Controller's mask. The last thing he saw as he aged to death was the face of Evelyn Smythe, who had been infected by the original virus and converted into a Cyberman. (WC: Real Time, AUDIO: Real Time)
