Ron Oates

Ron Oates was the visual effects designer on several Doctor Who stories, mostly during the latter half of the Patrick Troughton era. He worked on The Abominable Snowmen, The Ice Warriors, The Web of Fear and The Dominators, as well as a lone Jon Pertwee serial, The Green Death.
He also led the visual effects department on the Barry Letts/Terrance Dicks creation Moonbase 3 and worked extensively on the earliest series of the seminal comedy The Goodies.
