Rory was a handbot captured by Amy Pond during her thirty-six years trapped on Apalapucia. To keep her company, she removed its hands, reprogrammed it and drew a smiley face on it. She named the handbot Rory after her husband, Rory Williams. (TV: The Girl Who Waited)
