Roundhead

Roundheads were Earth soldiers who supported Parliament in the 17th century English Civil War.

17th century history

On 23 November 1638, Roundheads fought Lady Peinforte's soldiers while the Doctor launched the Nemesis statue into orbit (TV: Silver Nemesis). On 13 July 1643, Roundheads and Royalists fought in Little Hodcombe, annihilating each other and the village. The Malus awoke to feed on the psychic energy generated by the negative emotions, then went dormant again once the violence subsided. (TV: The Awakening) In 1645, a party of Roundheads was apparently torn apart by wild beasts while camped on Lanyon Moor. (AUDIO: The Spectre of Lanyon Moor)

Roundheads displaced in time

The War Lords kidnapped Roundheads and Royalists for their war games. (TV: The War Games)

In the late 20th century, the Master used his TOMTIT device to bring a troop of Roundheads to that century, where they fired upon Captain Yates' troops. (TV: The Time Monster)

When the Cardiff Space-Time Rift temporarily fractured across the Earth in 2008, several Roundheads appeared in London and fired upon the police. (TV: End of Days)
