Roy Boyd played Driscoll in the Doctor Who television story The Hand of Fear.
Boyd debuted in a 1963 episode of Dr. Finlay's Casebook, after which he appeared on The Saint, Colditz, Dixon of Dock Green, The Sweeney, Warship, The New Avengers, Survivors, Space: 1999, Secret Army, Blake's 7 and Minder. His film appearances included minor roles in the classic horror films The Wicker Man and The Omen. He also played Dryden Hogben in seven episodes of Emmerdale, the title character in Scarf Jack and Paul Lamboit in The Fourth Arm.
