Russell Tovey portrayed Titanic Midshipman, Alonzo Frame in Voyage of the Damned. In his book, The Writer's Tale, Russell T Davies suggested that the young actor would be one of his choices to play the Eleventh Doctor, and Doctor Who Magazine Issue 403 contains an article suggesting that Tovey was a strong candidate. Ultimately, the role went to another young actor, Matt Smith.
