Sergeant

Sergeant or Sargeant (COMIC: Bullies) was a military or police rank.

The following list is divided into broad types of sergeant and then alphabetised within each of those types.

Police sergeants[]

A custody sergeant was at a police station to which Mark Goodson came to say he needed protection. (TV: Small Worlds)

A Desk sergeant worked at the front desk in a London precinct where DI Billy Shipton worked. (TV: Blink)

A Station sergeant walked out outside of his police station on Christmas Day, 1965 and discovered the Doctor's TARDIS standing there. (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan)

Abeland was a police sergeant from the village of Farringham. (PROSE: Human Nature)

Baker was a police sergeant from the village of Three Sisters. (PROSE: The Banquo Legacy)

Bradshaw was a sergeant who worked under Detective Inspector Patricia Menzies. (AUDIO: The Crimes of Thomas Brewster)

Andy Davidson was a former co-worker of Gwen Cooper, whose promotion to police Sergeant may have had something to do with his part in Children of Earth. (PROSE: Long Time Dead)

Cormac was a Glaswegian police Sergeant who liaised with Jack Harkness when Torchwood Two called the latter to Scotland. (COMIC: The Selkie)

Ian Jenner and Dennison were Metropolitan Police Service sergeants who were on the trail of Christina de Souza. (TV: Planet of the Dead)

Kyle served in the Metropolitan Police Service in London in 1889.  (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)

Lange was a Metropolitan Police sergeant known to Sgt Quick. (AUDIO: The Similarity Engine)

Markham was an Edwardian police sergeant. (TV: Black Orchid)

Harry Pike was a London police sergeant in the mid-21st century, who was the father of Darius Pike, an ally of K9 Mark 2. (TV: The Last Precinct)

Price was in charge of security at 10 Downing Street during the Slitheen family takeover of the British government. (TV: World War Three)

Percival Quick was a sergeant who was friendly with George Litefoot and Henry Gordon Jago. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang, AUDIO: The Bloodless Soldier, The Bellova Devil, et al.)

Vince Wilson was a police sergeant in Moreton Harwood who briefly met Sarah Jane Smith. (TV: A Girl's Best Friend)

Military sergeants[]

The "regular" military is considered to be mainstream, armed forces. Not included here are reserve units, such as the Home Guard, the National Guard, the Territorial Army or the like.
