Series 2 (The Sarah Jane Adventures)

The Second Series of The Sarah Jane Adventures features 12 episodes split over 6 two part stories. It will air on the BBC in the autumn. The Cast consist of the return of Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith aswell as Tommy Knight as Luke Smith, Daniel Anthony as Clyde Langer and Yasmin Paige as Maria Jackson who leaves on the first episdoe and introduced Anjli Mohindra as Rani Chandra. The Brigadier returns the first time since 1989 for Battlefield. The Bane return with the last apperance being the first Sarah Jane Adventures episode, Invasion of the Bane. UNIT appear being the first for the spin off as well as having a special Red Nose Day Special episode which is the fist spin off to have a red nose day special.

To date, two stories have been adapted as novelisations by Penguin Character Books, both published in November 2008. It has not yet been announced whether any other Series 2 episodes will be adapted, although a Series 3 story has been novelised.
