Shangri-La

Shangri-La was a Welsh holiday camp overseen by Burton.

In 1959 the Doctor and Mel ended up there after winning a trip with Nostalgia Tours. The time-travelling bus on which they travelled having collided with the first American space satellite in Earth orbit, the bus crashed down at Shangri-La instead of Disneyland, as intended. Shangri-La was then the target of fierce Bannermen attempting to locate Delta, the last of the Chimeron. (DW: Delta and the Bannermen)

By 1967, the Shangri-La Hotel (as it was then known) was in bad condition. When Jack Harkness and Michael Bellini were trying to hide out, they decided to stay at the Hotel. (TWN: Trace Memory)
