Short Trips: How the Doctor Changed My Life was the twenty-sixth Short Trips anthology published by Big Finish Productions. It was comprised of twenty-five short stories written by the winners of a writing competition held by Big Finish to find new authors. Of the twenty-five winners, only seven of them subsequently returned to write more BF fiction: Mike Amberry, Arnold T. Blumberg, John Callaghan, Stephen Dunn, Matthew James, Michael Rees and Caleb Woodbridge.

All through space and time live people, ordinary people, whose lives have been turned upside down.

People who've lost jobs and loved ones, or seen their homes destroyed, or found themselves on whole other planets. They've nothing in common with one another except that their lives can never be the same. Because they're people who've met the Doctor.
