Sisters of the Infinite Schism

Amy Pond, Rory Williams and the Eleventh Doctor took River Song there to recuperate after she had sacrificed her powers of regeneration for the Doctor. They left her in the hospital because, while she was at that point, well known to Amy and Rory for most of their lives, under the name Mel, she was much younger than the River whom the Doctor had yet known. Upon leaving the hospital, River would start her education in archaeology, setting her on a path to rejoining the Doctor for the adventures he had already experienced. (TV: Let's Kill Hitler)
