A Slitheen scout carried out research to create a funfair with the name "Super Slitheen Space Spectacular". This fair was made up of typical Earth funfair attractions, but in a "hideous, twisted form", such as shies with human heads instead of coconuts, a ring toss with people, dodgems where human cars were run over, and the human hunt, where humans were chased through the park, ending with the water slide.
Rose Tyler discovered the Slitheen's plans, and when it saw her, the Slitheen chased Rose through the fair attractions and down the water slide, where at the bottom, the Tenth Doctor had filled the water in the pool with vinegar from a chip van, causing the Slitheen to explode.
