Disambiguate.[]

Works pages are protected from moving, right? Well, there's another work called "Tooth and Claw", so I guess we have to disambiguate this one into Tooth and Claw (TV story). -- Tybort (talk page) 10:41, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Yep. All the "what links here" pages are going to need to be changed as well.--Skittles the hog - talk 10:44, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, due to Template: Series 2 aliens and Template:DWTV, the amount of pages linking to it is a lot lower than it looks like, I'm guessing. I think I can manage that. -- Tybort (talk page) 11:23, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

I'll go halves with you if you get bored.--Skittles the hog - talk 11:25, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah. Didn't realise how many there was even without the templates. -- Tybort (talk page) 11:31, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

You might want to ask User:CzechOut to set his bot to this.--Skittles the hog - talk 11:33, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Doing it now. -- Tybort (talk page) 11:46, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

One of you guys needs to verify that each one of the current links to Tooth and Claw really is meant to go to the TV story. Any that are mistakenly meant for the comic strip need to be manually relinked. After we're sure "what links here" is populated only by pages linking to the TV story, please put a message on my talk page and I'll let loose the bot. Thanks :)

Long opening[]

Does the opening really need to be that long? I'm not sure what the rules are for that but it seems that they're a lot shorter on all the other episodes, and that section seems to contain a lot of information that should go in the Story Notes section.Mandalore74 talk to me 16:52, November 12, 2011 (UTC)

Four versions written?[]

  • Four versions of this story were written, each in different settings; all four scripts were specifically written for each of Russell T Davies' choices for the role of the Tenth Doctor and set in their home town. If Bill Nighy had played the Tenth Doctor it would have been set in the sewers of Caterham, Surrey. Had David Walliams played the role it would have still been set in the sewers of Surrey but a different part. Had the unknown (and unnamed by the BBC) actor who spoke in a cockney accent played the role it would have been set in the sewers of East London.

For one, this was written in a short time frame (according to Who's Round and elsewhere) and very close to production not unlike Blink. David Tennant would have almost certainly have been cast for months, and it seems incredibly unlikely that RTD would have been able to write full drafts of four different towns. I can understand early scripts being written for nondescript "don't know what he'll be like" versions of the Doctor? But different settings specifically for each of RTD's candidates based on their dialects? Plus, I don't think the final version with Torchwood House is intended to be set in any Scottish town that I can think of, never mind Tennant's birth place. -- Tybort (talk page) 11:15, June 19, 2014 (UTC)

I did some searching through the edit summaries, and this is what I found. The original poster added it to the Myths section in 2008, and another user moved it to Story notes a couple of months later. Then, last August, an IP user removed it completely; I added it back and included a {{fact}} tag. Since then, no one has been interested in verifying the information.
Given that it was originally posted in the Myths section, it's a good bet that it's not true. Still, if someone can actually find a valid source (maybe The Writer's Tale?) then it can be re-added. I think it's preferable to be missing information than to have incorrect information. Shambala108 15:31, June 19, 2014 (UTC)

Pre-Watershed[]

I've noticed that whenever Series 2 is repeated on the TV Channel W (previously Watch) during the daytime, both this episode and the Satan Pit are skipped over. Are these episodes considered too frightening for pre-watershed viewing now? Or were they post-watershed episodes in their original airing too? TheFatPanda 04:25, June 29, 2016 (UTC)
