You may be looking for Thal City.

The Thal Dome, also referred to as the Thal City, was the home city of the Thals on Skaro during the Thousand Year War with the Kaleds (TV: Genesis of the Daleks) and the heart of the Thal Republic. (AUDIO: Corruption)

Hundreds of years later, the Thals built another city, also named the Thal City. (AUDIO: Return to Skaro)

History[]

Historian who studied the Dalek race and the history of Skaro believed that the Thal Dome had been the first of the two domes to be constructed, the Kaleds building their own as a jealous and spiteful response. The construction of the domes was thought to have led to a state of cold war between the two races that eventually led to the Thousand Year War. (PROSE: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)

The Thal Dome was depicted in one episode of the Kaled propaganda television series Captain Croag and the Highland Rangers which featured the title character being captured and tortured in the dome. He eventually made his escape using nothing but a length of rusted pipe as a weapon. (AUDIO: Guilt)

As he approached his thirtieth birthday, Tech-Ops Davros, a junior member of the Kaled Military Elite, was sent on a mission to the Thal Dome by the Supremo, the leader of the Kaled people, to destroy a Thal weapons research facility. His team consisted of the mission commander Major Brint, Tech-Ops Reston and five others. However, the mission was compromised by Davros' elder half-sister Yarvell, who was a peace activist in spite of also being a member of the Military Elite. She informed her contacts in the peace movement, who in turn warned the Thals of the attack. Although the mission was ultimately successful, Davros was the only survivor. (AUDIO: Purity)

The dome functioned as a counterpart to the Kaled Dome. At its centre, the Thals had constructed a neutronic missile to be launched at the Kaled Dome. They hoped this would ultimately win the war against the Kaleds. Their goal was achieved through the help of the treacherous Davros, who provided the Thals with a chemical formula to weaken the Kaled Dome. Davros used this act to justify the creation of the Daleks, and he let them loose on the Thal civilians. The Daleks took no prisoners and few survived before they were recalled to the Kaled bunker and sealed inside by Bettan and her resistance movement. (TV: Genesis of the Daleks)

Following the Thousand Year War, a group of Thals returned to the Thal Dome, hoping to resettle. Just two survivors emerged from the journey, only to be surrounded and exterminated by Daleks within the city. (COMIC: Safe Haven)

Later Thal settlements[]

Centuries after the end of the Kaled war, the Thals raided the Dalek City and briefly occupied it. (TV: The Daleks) Subsequent generations moved out and constructed a new Thal City nearby, using materials and construction techniques from the Dalek City. After another battle against the Daleks, the Thals resolved to be more vigilant in the defence of their city. (AUDIO: Return to Skaro)
