The Doctor and Majenta Pryce visit a forgotten colony that resembles a gangster-ridden Earth city in the 1930s, only to find themselves investigating the murder of a fish-headed private eye.
[edit] Plot
On the planet New Old Detroit a bit of a slum, a fish like alien named Johnny Seaview has been shot six times he falls to the ground as the Tardis materializes. The Doctor and Majenta find him there near dead lying on the ground. He says to the doctor there is still time to save the city, he says he found the world bomb, but was caught. He then dies. All of a sudden there is gunfire and the doctor and Majenta run away from it. They find Johnny Seaviews offices, the doctor scans through his notes, he finds that Johnny nearly had solved the case. An elegant lady walks in she insults Majenta and Majenta walks out the room. The Doctor tells the woman that Johnny is dead she seems very sad about it. He inquires if she is "Winter Palace" a code name. She confirms that she is, the doctor tells her that she was a suspect in the World Bomb case. All of a sudden her face splits about revealing a she is am andriod. A little man walks out her face. He is the size of a hand. Majenta walks in she picks the little man up she knows his name is Tinny Danza. She puts him in a mug and threatens to drown him. He tells her the world bomb is the biggest weapon in the whole city. Afetr Seaview found the bomb every low life in the city wanted him. Danza thinks it was Red Morgan who would do it. Elsewhere Red Morgan is with a little green alien with six "Arms". The green man is a lawyerthey say goodbye only they are being watched by Majenta and the Doctor. They follow Red Morgan but hear shooting and find his body in an alley way. The Doctor wonders who the real killer is all of a sudden he finds a gun pointing to his head he turns around to find a man who has only one half pointing it at him called Half Nelson. He had a transmat accident his other half got beamed away. Half Nelson and his gang take the doctor and Majenta away in there underwater car. He takes them to the world bomb once they are there they are attacked by Hecto Shellac. He says he wants to retire and with the world bomb he can keep the gangsters of his back. He is unmasked as the killer they doctor has a struggle with him, Danzo who is hiding in the doctors blazer pocket punches him the doctor reaches out for the world bomb and pushes it. They all appear in a grass land visioned by the doctors mind. The Doctor and Majenta leave the world in the Tardis.

- Takes on the mannerisms of a Mickey Spillane-like private eye, much to Majenta's annoyance.
- Majenta Pryce
- Dresses in 1930s-40s femme fatale garb.
- Dislikes it when the Doctor (in character as a private eye) calls her "Madge".
- Hecto Shellac
- Is of the same race as Alpha Centauri.
- Johnny Seaview
- Tiny Danza
- Disguises himself via Femmesuit as voluptuous moll "Winter Palace".
- Red Morgan
- Half-Nelson
- Due to a transmat accident, his body has been bisected down the middle, leaving his internal organs exposed, though, he says, "I get by."

- Initially refers to Hecto Shellac as Centauri due to Hecto being of the same race as Alpha Centauri (DW: The Curse of Peladon, et al).

- The first page of the comic strip carries the title "Comic Book Section: Action Adventure Time Travel", in a format similar to that of the Will Eisner comic strip series The Spirit.
