The Visionary was a Time Lady who predicted the annihilation of Gallifrey on the final day of the Last Great Time War.
Biography

She was present at a Time Lord meeting presided by Lord President Rassilon during the war, foretelling that Gallifrey would burn as she wrote in Gallifreyan onto a piece of paper with an ink pen.
She was last heard screaming "Gallifrey falling...Gallifrey falls!" as Rassilion's plan to bring Gallifrey back failed at the hands of the Tenth Doctor, sending the planet back into the last day of the Time War. She, along with the rest of the Time Lords, were killed when the Doctor used the Moment to end the Time War once and for all. (TV: The End of Time)
Behind the scenes Edit
- Some fans have associated the Visionary with the Sisterhood of Karn, seen in the serial TV: The Brain of Morbius. This is supported by an exchange in Gareth Roberts' novelisation of Shada, in which Skagra shows Romana how he learned the location of The Worshipful and Ancient Law of Gallifrey by kidnapping and torturing a member of the Sisterhood. When he shows an image of the Sister to Romana, Romana guesses that the woman is "a visionary", and Skagra does not contradict her. (PROSE: Shada)
