Thorington was a Spy training centre located on an island in Uzbekistan. It was populated by Autons which were going to be used by the Soviet Union to undertake missions in the United Kingdom.
In 2008, the Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller landed in Thoringon. By this time, the water surrounding the village was gone. (AUDIO: Brave New Town)
