Time cabinets were a class of space-time vessel, appearing as vertical cabinets inside which the would-be-time-traveller would stand as the device transported them through time. Some cabinets could also transport the user to other dimensions.

Magnus Greel's time cabinet was an experimental zygma beam-based device created in the 51st century. After Magnus Greel used it to escape from his failing regime, it ended up in the 19th century. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)

Albert Cragg's time cabinet was built in the 20th century by Albert Cragg himself. After numerous varyingly-successful tests, he took it to ancient Egypt, intent on stealing the legendary treasure of Tut-Am-Tut before it became lost to history; however, the dying Tut-Am-Tut ended up having as his last request that the cabinet be buried in his pyramid with him, stranding Cragg in the past. (COMIC: Dr. Who's Time Tales 42)
