A time storm or timestorm, also known as a chronometeorological event, (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible) was a method of time/space transportation that could be experienced in many forms. Unlike traversing the time vortex in a TARDIS, time storms were usually directly experienced by the people being transported as a swirl of light and colours, (TV: Silver Nemesis) including scarlet, aqua, gold, white, heliotrope, lime, and vermilion, as it snapped out waves of random energy. Natural phenomenon

Time storms could be emitted by time rifts. (PROSE: Set Piece) The Third Doctor claimed to have seen time storms off Gallifrey (PROSE: The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Time Traveller) and the Tantalus Eye emitted temporal storms along with time winds. (PROSE: Engines of War) Ergostorms were a form of time storm that could occur in the ergosphere of a black hole in the hole was collapsing, causing space and time to warp. (AUDIO: Aquitaine)

In 2010 Elizabeth Meadows said that a temporal storm damaged a Cyberman ship and caused it to crash to the Arctic Circle ten thousand years prior. (GAME: Blood of the Cybermen)

Artificial storms

Fenric took Ace through time in a time storm from her home town in Perivale, Earth to Iceworld, Svartos in order that she would meet the Seventh Doctor and then come to be of use in the final game against him. (TV: Dragonfire, The Curse of Fenric)

Fenric also took Lady Peinforte and her manservant Richard Maynarde from 1638 to 1988 in order to manipulate them into gathering the Nemesis statue. (TV: Silver Nemesis) Later, Fenric possessed a medalion in the form of a hammer that could conjour up time storms. (AUDIO: Gods and Monsters)
