Tlaloc was the Aztec god of rain. The Aztecs offered sacrifices to him when they needed rain. When the First Doctor and his companions visited the Aztecs, Barbara stopped the sacrifice of the first victim to Tlaloc. The victim, denied his chance at glory, jumped to his death at Tlotoxl's suggestion. (TV: The Aztecs)
