Tony Oxley

Tony Oxley (died 2006) was the visual effects designer on the Doctor Who television stories The Ark in Space and The Sontaran Experiment. His other credits included The Good Life and Are You Being Served?
According to an obituary written by Michaeljohn Harris for the BBC's internal newspaper, Ariel, Oxley had a fascination with machinery since childhood. He joined the BBC as a visual effects design assistant, after which his contributions to Doctor Who and other programmes led to a freelance position as special properties designer. This, however, ended with new management changes at the BBC.
