Mrs Townsend was a woman living in the Hambleton Estate. She was friendly and helped out her neighbors a lot. Forexample she sewed a T-shirt of one of Mr Robinson's girls, when Mr Robinson asked her for help.
She tried to welcome the Goss family when they moved into the estate. Later on, she noticed a truck parking outside the Goss' house. Unknown to her the Bloorm Vungah Bart Slitheen, Dax Fex Fize Slitheen and Korst Gogg Thek Lutiven-Day Slitheen came to the house and took the families bodies for their skin suits. Shortly after, it appeared as if the Goss family had moved out rather quickly, without notice. Six months later, she saw people who looked like June and Marco Goss on television, crying about their missing child. The picture of the missing boy shown on TV did not look like Nathan Goss, the boy she had seen before. Instead it was a faked picture of Luke Smith as Ashley Stafford. Their family called themselves now "Stafford". Mrs Townsend assumed they just looked very much like them, until she saw the scar behind "Mr Stafford's" ear, which she noticed from when they still lived in the Hambleton Estate. It was later revealed that the Goss family had been killed and used for the Slitheens' plans. They used the body of the Goss family to pose as Jay Stafford and Heidi Stafford, who never existed, but whose existence was created by Mr Smith and the Slitheen. (PROSE: The Lost Boy)
