The Ursines were a race of bear-like humanoids.
Ursines were named after the bears of Earth. They were large, barrel-chested creatures with thick fur. They had large, powerful paws and sharp claws which could easily rip flesh. They came in both black and brown fur. It was believed that the ones with black fur were more intelligent.
Ursines had a low intelligence and a very bad temper. Ursines also had a sense of honour within their species, and offending one Ursine could lead to violence by others.
Ursines used to work in the mines of Megerra, but as the machinery became more complicated, they were forced out. Many Ursines were forced to work as thugs or enforcers. (PROSE: Mean Streets)
