23skidoo, aka Alex, is a freelance journalist and book editor in Calgary, Canada, who has been a Doctor Who fan since the mid-1980s. Since then he's seen all but a handful of the existing "classic series" stories, has read the novelisations of most of the missing ones, and has also followed, off and on, the "expanded universe" of the Virgin, BBC Books and Big Finish eras. One of his claims to fame was that he was one of the first people in North America to receive a copy of Summoned by Shadows, the inaugural Doctor Who-related release by Bill Baggs Video in the early days of the "independent film" era of the francise's history. Alex let his Whovian credentials lapse for a few years and slipped into the darkness of Trekkiedom for a time, but after the cancellation of Enterprise he resigned from that fraternity and was quite happy to jump back on board the SS TARDIS when it set sail again in 2005.

When he's not editing the TARDIS Wikia, he moderates several Yahoo Groups. He is an inactive administrator with Wikipedia and he appreciates the fact that he can upload images to the TARDIS Wikia without getting forms signed in triplicate, providing a blood sample, and obtaining a letter of permission from his mother, unlike Wikipedia. (Please note, however, that he is not at present an administrator with the TARDIS wiki). He's also fairly active on editing the Harry Potter Wiki and occasionally other specialty Wikis.

His all-time favorite Doctor is Jon Pertwee, however both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant are only a sonic screwdriver's length behind.

And for the record he feels Russell T. Davies wrote a brilliant Series 4 finale and is of the opinion that Doctor Who, despite occasional missteps, towers over all other SF currently on American or British television.

• Updating book and novel articles, adding missing books and cover scans when necessary.
• Updating the year timelines for both DW Universe events and real-world franchise history. He recently completed an extensive revision and format standardization for the "Real World" sections of the various year timelines, as well as adding releases from the "expanded franchise" (Benny Summerfield, BBV, Reeltime, etc). He's also taken on the task of keeping the "Real World" aspect of the timelines updated as much as possible.
• Fixing vandalism and blatant rumor-mongering (i.e. 2008 Christmas special title, 11th Doctor casting rumors) when found.
• Expanding biographical articles.
• Adding trivia and connections between stories.
