Sergeant Vince Wilson was a police officer of Moreton Harwood. He was a member of the Hecate Cult, but objected to the planned sacrifice of Brendan Richards. On 20 December 1981, he tried to warn Sarah Jane Smith, but had a heart attack en route. (TV: A Girl's Best Friend)

- While the purpose of Wilson's death was to imply that the Hecate Cult had supernatural powers, this was a red herring: later, the episode revealed that the Cult had no powers whatsoever, implying that Wilson's heart attack was a genuine reaction to fright.
