War of 1812

The War of 1812 was a war that was fought by the Royal Navy against the USA. Stapleton Petherbridge was killed in this war. (AUDIO: The Wrong Doctors)

According to the Eleventh Doctor, it should have been called the "War of 1812 Through 1814 and a Little Bit of 1815".

When he accidentally "overshot" to the front lines of the war, in an attempt to return to Amy Pond in London, 17 October 1814, Rory Williams assumed that they had landed in 1812, but the Doctor clarified that the war's name was misleading. (COMIC: The Doctor and the Nurse)

Brittany Mordley knew a lot about the War of 1812, so felt like she didn't need to pay attention to Mr. Hendricks during his class at her school, although she opted to pay attention anyway in case he slipped in an obscure fact that may turn up in a test. (PROSE: Silver-Tongued Liars [+]James Wylder, Cyberon (Arcbeatle Press, 2020).)
