When the last surviving members of the Luron mothership attempted to invade Earth in 1979, their mothership, which was more than a mile long, entered the atmosphere before coming to a stop above Windsor Castle. On 23 November 1988, the Seventh Doctor and Ace visited the castle in search of Lady Peinforte's silver bow.
